RAïSSA BUMP

Raissa Bump is an artist born in the North East who is currently working in the San Francisco Bay area. She works in collaboration, joining materials and techniques of the clothing and jewelry she is making. Her inspiration often stems from the incredible history of all that is worn on the body--she is thrilled to contribute her own designs to the rich history of adornment! Raissa received her BFA with honors from Rhode Island School of Design and also studied in Florence, Italy at Alchimia School of Contemporary Jewelry with Giampaolo Babetto.

Enriched by a curiosity in the parallel, yet sometimes blurry line between jewelry and apparel, Raissa's work is fueled by a direct response to contrasting materials that when together create complementary relationships.
